Strange hair Patches on the Skin

Hi,

I know a small girl in my Area, she is about 10 years old. she is suffering from a very rare skin problem. she has patched of hair all over her skin. Its like blackish green. It somewhat releftcs the wolf syndrome but her entire body is not covered with hair. what is this disease? is it curable? She is just a small kid afterall...

What the girl is having is called hypertrichosis. It is the growth of hair on any part of the body, in excess of the amount usually present in persons of the same age, sex and race. It can be due to a hereditary cause like genetic defect or hormonal causes. So for treatment hormonal evaluation from an endocrinologist has to be done first.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. However when I checked the internet for this Gentic Defect it seemd more like a wolf man syndrome. But what this girl have is something totally different. there are patches of hair all over body. it looks like her skin has got some fungus.

she belong to a very poor family. Her parents are daily wages earners and  cannot afford her treatment. Thats why she is left like that. Do you know any organization that will finance this girls rare problem and support her treatment. I really want her to live a normal life. Any help from you is highly appreciated.
