Strange patch on nose

I recently went out on my bike on a sunny day. The following day the end of my nose hurt to touch , slighty red but didnt feel liek a sunburn at all. 2 days later a patch the diameter of a pencil appeared red and slightly scaley. 3 weeks later it is exactly the same, a red patch on the side of my nose constantly trying to heal with no success (scabbing over then flaking away). It not like any sun burn recovery ive experienced before and im sure ive burnt my nose before and not had this problem. Any ideas. could this be skin cancer? Male age 27.
