Strange patch on penis

This is kind of complicated. I was diagnosed with H. Pylori, did the prev pac for 14 days. Three days after I got off it I noticed a mosquito bite type of itch on my penis along with an elevated oval shape. (looked and felt exactly like a mosquito bite) I scracthed it up and it became an oval red patch of mildly painful skin that just randomly itches for 3-5 seconds maybe every other day or a couple times here and there. (this could be from healing) I have a small eczema on my right index finder right at the knuckle that I'm sure brushes up against this same area when I masturbate. I have been doing this for years and haven't had any problems. After the Prev Pac (which I believe fixed the stomach problems from H. Pylori) , the doctor prescribed ranitidine for acid and I was allergic to it. My face broke out and I got very dizzy.. I started taking pepcid instead and have been ok. Now the face rash is gone, but the oval red patch on my penis remains the same 2 weeks later. It only hurts when rubbed, and will still occasionally itch but not really that bad. It tends to itch along the same lines of the way my eczema itches on my finger. I'm 30. I had sex with a girl who had HPV when I was 20 and noticed 1 or two raised flesh colored parts of my skin that same year that I'm sure are warts, but they are so barely visable that I have ignored them and they have never really itched or anything at all. No one I have been with has ever complained of anything in the last 10 years so I figured it was harmless. She even said the doctor said it was not a cancer causing type. Now all of a sudden I have this red oval patch 10 yrs later that is around 2x-3x the size of any of the other "raised flesh" spots (I have maybe 2 or 3 of the invisible ones that you can't even see).   All of this happened after the drugs, so the questions are:

Can you have a reaction to antibiotics, h2 blockers, or proton pump inhibitors (prevpac) 2-3 days AFTER you stop taking them causing this patch that is now NOT elavated, (just looks like raw skin)?   OR

Could the Eczema from my finger have spread to my penis?  OR

Could this be HPV from 10 years ago all of a sudden causing an itchy wart that doesn't even look like a wart but more like someone dropped acid on my skin and irritated it?

Very strange and complicaed deal.. I don't know what to tell my GF, I don't even want to mention HPV as it has not caused any problems for me in 10 years and I know the strain I have has never caused warts before and won't cause cancer..

Any advice appreciated. I'm going to the doc in two days. Just hoping for someone who may have some insight...

So if it was HPV, it would definately have SOME kind of elevation to the skin? It's almost the opposite, as in sunk down into the skin.

Hi

Dermatitis and fungal infections may readily respond to corticosteroids. This does not sound like an allergic reaction but this does sound like an infection or an inflammation. I would not advice antibacterial soaps for this as this may cause further irritation and may aggravate the condition as soaps may be aggressive. Use a mild cleanser such as Cetaphil or Neutrogena.

First off thank you for taking the time to answer my post.

I have some lamisil (Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1%) for jock itch.. it says antifungal. I put some on because I read someone else's post about bumps on the foreskin and a few minutes ago I was actually able to touch the area without pain or itching. When I run my finger over the area slowly It seems that there are two parallel raised bumps within the reddened oval on both sides causing the disturbance. It takes a certain angle and light to see them, but the look just like vague minature mosquito bites turned the same way as my penis and parallel next to eachother with the reddend skin in between. There is a small red dot on the right one that looks like a pin wound at the base of it. Like this    <-- and that's inside the red oval . I can stretch it with no pain or itching but it seems kind of numb. Seems to be just on the surface of my skin.

Like I said I scratched and messed with these 2 weeks ago until I made the bleeding oval, so now that it is healing these two "bumps" are beginning to show, but I have had neosporin on it for about two weeks and it just turned pink instead of red. The itching is so hard to explain.. It flares up out of nowhere for 3-5 seconds and the just goes away for hours..  like something's crawling on it. It doesn't look like ANY of the HPV pictures I've seen, but I do have a few fleshy tiny "wart looking things" on the other side that have been harmless for years. It just looks like someone pinched my skin barely and it never spread back out.. but once again you can't even see them when I'm erect, and I'm not even sure if they're not just what my natural skin should look like anyway or maybe HPV.. (so many types of HPV)

Anyway, would the lamisil show some results in the next 24 hours? Or should I get something else?

Also when I'm trying these attempted remedies, what kind of soap do I need to wash with to sterilize my hands from touching it? I don't want to get whatever it is anywhere else!

I'm keeping it under band-aid with the medications until the doc can check it out. I have an HSA from work that barely has any cash in it from the 850$ I spent getting rid of H. Pylori.. so I'd like to avoid the doc if possible (75$ a visit out of pocket!) But I'll probably end up there monday anyway....   thanks for your time.

Hi

This red rash may not be due to medications as it has persisted way after you have stopped the medications. Also, you have noted the patch to be itchy .With a history of eczema, this may be likely an eczematous skin condition. Eczema may be weeping or wet in character. These are also itchy but they are not contagious. Although ,if you had eczema before, there is a likely chance of getting this again. The likely diagnosis here is a fungal infection. This does not sound like HPV as warts present with flesh colored lesions. For fungal infections they may present with a rash and they may also itch.

Have you tried applying antifungal medications on the area before?
