Strange problem, maybe an STD? Maybe not? I don't know...

Hello,

Heres what happened, I am hoping someone can shed some light on to what is going on with me. First, some facts:

* I am in my early 20's.
* I have had multiple partners in the past but always used a condom. 1/or/2 times it broke, or was put on shortly
after the start of intercourse.
* I have never had any problems up until recently
* I tested negative for most STD's.
* I have had one constant partner for nine months -- before that about 8 partners over the course of a year or
two... including my current one. We've been dating on/off for a while... this time looks for good.
* I shave my genitals regularly.
* I have not had any strange discharge, my urine did not contain any blood at my last urine test.
* I do smoke marijuana and cigarettes occationally
* I have had cold sores and a wart on my hand in the past. Not sure if this is relevant, but it will make
sense a bit further down.

Last week I went to the emergency room and complained of trouble urinating, painful (not really a pain more
like a constant icy-hot feeling in the tip of my penis.) I was tested for a Urinary Tract Infection, Bladder
Infection, and Chlomidia/Gonorrhea. All my tests came back negative. I have also been tested for HIV a few
months ago, also Negative...

Yet, I still have a minor (although much decreased) big of trouble peeing... Most of the time I don't notice it
but if I have to pee I can feel it again.

I also have a small cyst like bump on the side of my penis... It is more on the skin that connects my scrotum
to my leg... It was a bit bigger, but now it is smaller. There is little redness, it has a white head, looks
like a small pimple, feels like a small cyst.

I also have a slight "rash feeling" lower on my inner thigh. There is no visible rash here, at least not one
I can notice.

The cyst like thing popped up after my first visit to the ER, but before mm visit to my normal doctor. He looked
at it and said it looked like irritation and it should go away. It has shrunk a bit. It has not exhibited any
other symptoms (such as popping and becoming a painful blister as one would expect if it were a herpes infection.)
I do not think I was tested for herpes but since I have never had anything similar and on average herpes first
outbreak comes 2-3 weeks after infection, I doubt it is that. Although, my symptoms somewhat match classic
Herpes symptoms from what I have read.

I have had unprotected sex with my girlfriend a number of times in the past six months. We have been dating for
nine months, and both of us are faithful. She has not had any symptoms of her own nor has she had any yeast
infections recently.

Tomorrow I have a appointment for a physical and I am trying to get into a urologist office soon but am waiting
to hear back when they can squeeze me in...

I am out of space to post here (3000 char limit.) I posted the rest of this same post and a photo here:

I'm no doctor -- but my problem turned out to be nothing. My doctor
told me to go home and relax, and the same is most likely true for
your problem. BUT sitting at home worrying sick posting online is
only going to get you advice to see a doctor. So go, you'll be happy
to hear if its good news and if its bad you'll be given medication to
help make it go away...

I've had this blister the lip of my vagina for about 2 years now. I'm afraid to go to the doctor because i'm afraid of the results. I NEVER had unprotected sex with my ex but we did have unprotected oral sex. The blister is sore when I bother it. I can feel it through my skin and it seems as though its a bunch of small balls under the blister. When I bother the blister the next day it gets puss I assume from irritation. It NEVER goes away so I don't think its herpes. It's only one blister. I used to shave a lot and the similar hardness would come but it usually went right away. Also, a blister never formed. When I squeeze it, it hurts really bad once I've bothered it. Before I bother it, its ok when I touch it until I do it for a while. Also, sometimes when puss comes, blood does also. Then i realize the inside comes out and I can feel the inside of the blister and I can see the little balls and they are read. I can pull them and its painful. It seems like a bunch of skin compacted together under my skin. I also realize no hair grows out of the blister but hair grows out of the part the blister isn't covering. I always think that when the blister opens i can just pull the little balls out but they are attached to the inside of my thigh so of course that hurts. Please help me with any way to get rid of this or tell me what it could be. thanks

Your photo shows three scattered bumps.  Herpes lesions are blistered, which are clustered together, not scattered.  I don't know whether your "cyst" is a cyst or an irritation, but it sounds like one of those.  As to your difficulty urinating despite negative tests, you'll need to ask the urologist, but I will add that that doesn't sound like herpes either.  Ditto for the "slight 'rash feeling' lower on my inner thigh."

I think you're thinking and looking (and perhaps poking) too much.  Please leave your spots alone and get seen by the urologist, dermatologist, or whoever else you need to convince you that you don't have an STD.

Best.
