Strange rash

Strange rash

I developed a strange rash on the underside of my forearm about two or three weeks ago and is has not gone away.  It is bright red, round, about half an inch in diameter, and for a while, it had what looked like "goosebumps" around the outter edge of the rash.  The "goosebumps" are almost totally gone now even though the skin around the rash is paler than the rest of my arm.  The rash now also has white spots in the middle and a few around the outer edge.  The skin is rough (there were never any puss pockets) and parts of it look like the skin is flaking off.
Any clues what this is and what I should do about it?

I really can't guess.  What I can tell you is that when rashes appear out of the blue like this, they usually leave without a trace in a short while without treatment.  If you have eczema or something, the rash will appear elsewhere sooner or later.  I'd ignore it.

Best.

If you have a rash under your arms - stop using underarm deoderants and related products. Instead wash your pits 2X in the morning and forget it. For some reason doctors do not usually make this connection.
