Strange rash

Hello,  about a week ago I notice 2 spots on my very lower left leg.  They were about the size of say a small pimple on your face, started as a deep pink and turned deep red over the next few days.

A few days later I noticed about 4 more, still on lower leg.  The next day I noticed 2 on the other leg approx. same spot.  I developed a total of about 10 on both legs together.  The older ones are now fading every day and I didn't have any new ones yesterday.  They only itch as it is initally appearing for a few minutes, then no more itching.

Can this be something from my autoimmune illness -Still's disease (very similar to lupus)?  I had been sick with a virus (kind of bad cold/sinus) and under a bit of stress.

Thank you!

this has now been going on for one month.  My two yr old daughter first developed a red, itchy rash on her right arm, right side of her abdomen, and right thigh.  I took her to her pedi.  and he didn't know what it was, so he treated her for scabies and gave me hydrocortisone cream.  The rash didn't go away, but spread to the rest of her body.  My husband and i finally decided it must be our dog so we got rid of her.  We washed and vaccumed everything in the house. The rash did not go away. We are now on vacation and out of the house and the rash was finally starting to clear up , but now today it has started again on her legs.  On her left leg are red, itchy bumps but on her right leg it almost looks to me like hives.  I have not changed detergent, lotion, bath soap, and she had not been on any new medications beside the stated above.  I'm beyond the point of frustration and don't know what else to do.  Besides the hydrocortisone cream I have also tried using an emollient in case it was eczema, and bendryl in case it was an allergic reaction nothing has helped.  If you have any insight I was greatly appreciate it.  Thank you for your time.

I think it's much more likely to be folliculitis, or blocked follicles, which often occur on the legs in particular, for no particular reason.  They usually go away on their own, as they seem to be doing in your case, and therefore don't need specific treatment.  I very much doubt anything systemic.

Best.
