(head to toe including scalp)  I cleaned my whole house sever times. wrapped my furniture in trash bags....bleached all the toys and put the ones up i couldnt....Tore the mattress cover off my mattress so its plastic on the outside now and bleeched it.. I have steam cleaner and used that on everything a second time I washed everything I could. Ive done all this EVERYTIME i treated :( Im so tired....The third time I had to retreat I bought new clothes.  Now its back again.I wipe all surfaces down each day with bleach and vacume....I clean like crazy but notings helping... It seems like it never really goes away on me. I treat and a few days later I have a new bump or a scratch lookin mark on me. Sometimes I even see s's in my skin very clearly. They r small but there.  I have a 2 year old little girl and a 7 year old. My oldest seems ok...but my two year old has a new red bump on her head!  I even stayed off work for 2 weeks and changed my youngest daycare. I dont know what else to do! PLEASE HELP!

Maybe the kids are contacting it from school or other family/friends. It seems like you have done everything but that doesn't mean you are immune to getting it over. Look for signs on people you are aroud alot and ask the kids teachers to look for itchy classmates. Good luck!

Hello,
Permethrin and oral ivermectin are the treatment options of scabies. Sometimes there may be recurrent and chronic cases which may require oral treatment of ivermectin. Also permethrin has to be used head to the bottom of the feet, paying special attention to skin folds and the webs between fingers and toes and this cream has to be left for 10-14 hours. Sometimes itching of scabies persists for a few days after completion of treatment also. So if you have the symptoms even after 10 days of stopping the treatment then please consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

yea i was figuring that we was picking it back up, Im not sure it might be comming from my work. I am a server and we share trays and they lay on our bare arms. Is it possible t0 pick them up from that? I jus retreated with elimite on thursday and now i have a new bump on my hand i noticed last night! I have no idea whats going on and my doctor jus keeps giving me more creme. Could it be possible that the creme is not effective on me and not getting to some of the bugs?  I applied it head to toe each time even my scalp has been treated. The symptoms seem to completely disappear on my children but not me!
Then after about a week after treatment my 1 year old gets them back on her head. I am extreamly exhausted and feel like theres nothing I can do if the people around me arnt taking this seriously!

Hello,
I can understand your concern as a parent. Since you are not being benefitted from the treatment so either the diagnosis needs to be revised or the treatment needs to be revised or there is any contact from which you are getting recurrent infections as it is a highly contagious disease.

I suggest you to talk to your doctor regarding the option of oral drugs like Ivermectin as it is helpful in resistant or recurrent cases. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

now i have red sore patches on my scalp. They sting and my face itches. I cant tell if its jus small pimples or scabies. My scalp has one raised bump and the rest is like a red rash that stings. Could the elimite be causing this reaction because ive used it so many times or could the scabies be in my scalp now again? My daughter has a well check today at the doctors, I am going to ask him to refer me to a dermatologist. I feel like Im loosing my mind. I clean everyday all day and all i think about are these stupid bugs.

I got scabies a few years ago.  Didn't know what it was and suffered for months with rashes and crawling sensations on my face when trying to sleep.  I clicked around on the web and identified the problem in rash forums.  I then found a unique thread where a young healthy school teacher touched a student with scabies.  She accidently poured some orange oil shampoo in here bath water.  She said she could see the little ticks backing out of the sores.

Hmmmmmm, where had I seen orange oil.  After momentary relflection I remembered Adam's cake baking flavorings.

Got a bottle of orange oil and it killed  the scabies overnight.  Right there in your grocery store.
Also, I looked down on the mattress just below my head and saw a nasty brown spot.  Scabies nest.  Soaked it with windex, tragedy over.

Might just mix it with some aloe gel in the palm of your hand.  Make a sweet smelling creme.

They lay eggs in your skin.  The orange oil melts the eggs.    Hope It works for you, Mark
