Suffering from perioral dermatitis

Everything started with a cold sore. So went to the doctor he gave me acyloir,cold sore went away in 2-3days. Then i started noticing  little bumps around my mouth thought could cold sore. Gradually it started spreading on my chin, my mouth. Went to dermatologist  doctor diagnosed me with perioral dermatitis.she prescribe some type of ointment and it made worse my mouth was extremely  red,burning,and itchy. So i decided to go to different who prescribed me doxycylclie 100 mg 2x a day. Its been month and  half bumps from around my mouth is gone. But i still have it on my cheeks nose and forhead now. What should i do?should i continue with doxycylcline?
