Suggest Skin Graft and Swelling

In my late 20's i began swelling in my right hand and also in my upper eyes. I am now 40 and the problem has worsened. My left arm was badly burned at age 2 and I have to wonder if the right hand is overworked. Recently I went to a plastic surgeon who thinks the left arm is in need of skin grafting but I dont know what to do about the swelling problem.  I am very worried and hope it is nothng serious.

What kind of docttor would I see? What do you think this is?

Your reply would be like xmas present to me,I dont know which way to turn.

First off, I would ask the plastic surgeon you already saw what his or her diagnosis is; in other words, what is the condition for which the grafting is intended?

Next, I would consult a dermatologist, who should be able to set you straight as to the nature of the swelling.

I will say that it is very unlikely that localized and asymmetrical swelling which has lasted a long time is part of any serious internal condition.

A two year old was badly burned by falling head first into a large pot of hot liquid.  They have done skin grafts on his arms.  Do skin grafts grow with the child?  Most of his burns are secon degree, what is the best way to heal the skin?  What will help with the scarring?
What about the donor site on his legs, what is the best way to deal with the scarring?
