. I was wondering if there is anything I can use to get rid of them? I wear sunscreen everyday and try to keep a hat on when I am in the sun. The spots have not improved over the last few months even with being extremely careful in the sun.
Do you know any product that may work to improve these spots?
Hello,
These spots can be due to pityriasis versicolor , idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis or vitiligo. Idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis is characterized by flat white spots found on the shins and forearms. It may also arise on other sun exposed areas including the face, neck and shoulders. Usually nothing is to be done except sun protection. But vitiligo also needs to be ruled out.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
