Sunburn concern

Sunburn concern

I suffered a sunburn on my back. Its been less then 24 hours but it appears somewhat mild in the sense that there has been no itching ,peeling or blistering up to now (I have applied a cream which is usually effective in relieving pain)and it only hurts when I apply significant pressure to my back.(press it against a chair or lie on it)Still the redness is significant in area and what concerns me is that on my back I have two moles (I've had them for years, and they have always been ok). Should I be concerned and take any action?

No.  Moles are not more sensitive to sun than anywhere else, and getting a burn on them, even a severe one, will not cause them to tune cancerous.  Check the moles out next time you see a doctor just for reassurance.  And of course, do what you can to avoid future sunburns.

Best.
