Sunburn like pain in lower buttock

Hi there,
Ive been dealing with a burning in my lower left buttock, sometimes in my right buttock or left leg but mostly right where my buttock meets my leg on the left. Feels like a sunburn but there is nothing on the skin and when I touch the area there is no pain. The pain started a year and a half ago and lasted for two months then went away and now its back again. This time Ive had it for a month and a half and its not going away. I'm assuming its nerve related. Ive been to many doctors and no answers. Ive had an emg, an xray of the left hip, and 3 herpes tests. All negative. Any ideas? Could this be shingles or the EBV? Ive done so much research and thats what I could find. Please help!
