Sunscreens

I have been using sunscreen containing mexoryl (La Roche Posay Anthelios,specifically) for a couple years.  While using this sunscreen I have been applying my Clindamycin phosphate lotion (prescribed) under the sunscreen.  I recently read that chemical sunscreens, like the one I have been using, must be applied to clean skin. I am really freaking out that this entire time I have not been getting the protection I believed I was getting because of the fact that i first apply that clindamycin phosphate lotion and on top of that the sunscreen.

You have no reason for anxiety, Michelle.  I'm sure the sunscreen has been protecting you just fine.  I usually recommend that patients put medicated creams like clindamycin right on the skin, as you have been doing, with sunscreen on top.
