Swollen Itchy Testicles + Slightly Itchy Penis Head

I'm not quite sure what started this, or exactly when, but recently my testicles have become quite swollen and close to my penis. They are not gigantic or anything, but are larger than usual. They are also quite wrinkly, tight, and are itchy, mostly under the scrotum and on the sides. Sometimes, the itch gets quite unbearable and I am forced to itch (especially in the shower) and after, it hurts. My penis head is also itchy. The foreskin is quite red and it SEEMS as though there are small hardly notice-able bumps which seem to be signs of irritation. Mostly at the hole of the urethra and head. My scrotum is also quite dry in some spots, I have used lotion, and some other medicine (lotion type spread) I am not quite of the name of, and the medicine seems to have a slight burning sensation but reduces the itch. I usually get the urge to scratch, or I feel itchy when my pants/boxers rub against my scrotum/penis. Most of the time I can ignore it, but as I said before, from time to time the itch gets unbearable. Using ice/icepacks with a cloth on my scrotum stops the itch, but I can't always have an icepack down there. I've had this before (approximately 1 year ago), and I'm not quite sure what I did to get rid of this, but I would much appreciate any help. I

Nerd itch is from excessive rubbing of the genitals rather than sports related fungal infections. It's do to over stimulation especially with store bough lubricants or with some soaps or detergents particularly brands used by older generations. Ask your mother/grandmother to use a more hypoalergenic detergent when washing your undergarments.

Hello,
Dry and itchy skin of the scrotum can be due to fungal infection or jock itch or eczema. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist and get the diagnosis confirmed.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Recently, my balls have become not as swollen and less itchy, but now my scrotum is very dry. I've tried lotion, but I'm not sure it's working, and possibly making the dryness worse, so I'm trying a different lotion.

I'm not quite sure, but I don't think it is jock itch, since I don't have any rash. But lately my thighs have also been quite itchy, along with my anal region. Fortunately, the itchiness has been going away lately but it is still slightly persistent from time to time in the day. My scrotum has also been as dry as it has been from when I first started these. Lately, my itchy penis has been giving me more trouble. Anytime my boxers/pants rub against it, I get a sensation and urge to itch. Yesterday in the shower, the bumps were more visible than before and the top part of my penis was quite red, and the foreskin had the slightly visible bumps and was quite red and itchy.

Thanks so much for replying.

Also, are there any home treatments or alternatives to the medicines? And will this go away on its own?

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be jock itch. Jock itch shows up in post-adolescent men and hormonal changes during puberty, lifestyle and heredity each play a role. Predisposing fungal disease like tines cruris may also aggravate it. Wash your groin daily and then dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. A hairdryer is useful if you have hairy groins. The damp groin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwear and change them twice a day. and do not share other people’s towels. Application of local antifungal cream(terbinafine, clotrimazole, econazole, ketoconazole, miconazole) and oral antifungal drugs are the mainstay of treatment. Most cases of  fungal infections respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Some of them are Lamisil, Monistat derm, Mycelex, and Nizoral.

I hope that helps. Take care and please do keep us posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
