This swollen lymph node is a natural reaction I would say to the injection. However, this may also be a reaction to other infections that are present in the area. If aside from the injection, there were previous signs of redness, tenderness or breaks on the skin noted in the area then this may contribute to the swollen lymph node. The lymph node serves as the body's secondary defense system wherein mature cells equipped with proteins that ward off and filter the bacteria or other foreign organisms are present. Enlarged lymph nodes suggest enhanced activity or an underlying lymph node infection or lymphadenitis. This may not be something that you should be worried. Observe the swollen lymph node and see if this improves in time
