TENDER PIMPLES IN PUBIC HAIR AREA

by Cuzcodc2, May 16, 2007 12:00AM
I am not sure what this is but a few days ago i had sex with a girl and there was a lot of friction on my pubic hair area due to position. The next day that area felt tender and stung a little bit with a scattered tiny red dots, very much as a rugburn would, but with little dots, so i figured that basic friction soreness was it and would go away with 1 days time. The next day it was a little more tender and of the 40 or so little red dots, about 15 of them have turned into whiteheads, about 1cm in diameter each. Almost all of them have a hair growin out of them. The area is more tender now, and very uncomfortable, and stings to the touch, very much like a new small pimple that appears on your face right after you shave. At first i feared it was herpes, but i dont think it is since i feel fine and have no burning sensation when i urinate. This is the third day and most of the redness is gone except for the immediate area around each white head, although it stings to the touch. Much help is appreciated.

It doesn't sound like herpes.  It sounds like irritation of follicles from friction, because of the fact that you describe hairs growing out of them.  I suggest avoiding friction but doing nothing else.  Just let the condition take care of itself, as I'm confident it will.  If it lasts several more days, you should show it to a doctor.

Take care.

I have some pimple-like issues in my pubic region as well. I noticed after a vacation to Mexico 2 months ago. I don't think it's an STD related issue but could be. It just won't go away. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z142/JKrindle/DSC04036.jpg

Here are some pics that might help you understand what it is. It sounds somewhat similar though.
