Tattoo Rash

I just got a tattoo about 2 weeks ago, and i noticed a little bump on my leg after shaving, and i thought it might but be an ingrown hair or somthing like that, but it is only on the leg that i got my tattoo on, ive been using burts bees lotion on it so i thought maybe it was reacting like that because my skin didnt like that lotion so i stopped using it and its been a day now and it doesnt look any better, and i also took some benidryl. I have no idea what to do about it im scared it might be infected, but its not red around the tattoo or pussing anything, but i dont know where these rashes are coming from. Should i see my doctor? Or do you have any suggestions for me?

Since these are red bumps and there is no itching, so it is less likely to be due to an allergy. It can be due to folliculitis or irritated hair follicles after shaving of skin. Keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
