About three years ago I got a tattoo using all blackBlack cohosh Black draught Black haw ink. About a week later I noticed some small red itchy bumps around the tattoo. it got worse and spread all down my arm, and my handHand or foot spasms Hand tremor and started to spread to the side of my torso. I went to a dermatologist and he diagnosed me with erytherma mulitforme from the tattoo. I was prescribed prednisonePrednisone Prednisone anhydrous for 2 weeks and it cleared up. I was wondering what are the chances of this happening again if I get another tattoo??
It is best to avoid getting another tattoo. Possible complications such as permanent skin damage and scarring; lesions on internal organs; secondary skin infection; systemic infection, loss of body fluids and shock.
Erythema multiforme is a type of hypersensitivity reaction that occurs in response to medications, infections, or illness. The exact cause is unknown t but is believed to involve damage to the blood vessels of the skin and skin tissues. Mild forms of erythema multiforme usually resolve without difficulty, but they may recur.
