Teeny Tiny Red Bumps On Face

I have been having issues with my skin for  a verrrry long time now and I'd like some pointers if possible...

I have patches around my nose, and they spread down to my chin and often across my cheeks, the patches getting sparser the further they creep away from around my nose. They're (irritatingly) usually there, but vary in redness. One of the hugest triggers I have is showering. If I'm taking a warm shower, I can sometimes feel it start to itch/tingle and when I get out I have very, very red patches that take a long time to fade (days). It's now become habit to hang a towel by the shower and I dab my face dry if it gets wet. I don't use any face lotion other than cetaphil and don't even wash my face (this irritates it even w/no soap). I do apply the cetaphil after every shower because it seems to help a bit. Another thing I've noticed is that it gets worse when I don't get much sleep. However, despite my best efforts it usually is there and I HATE it...I was wondering if anyone knew what these symptoms might mean?

other info that might be helpful (just in case)
- I don't have oily skin or acne issues
-My mom has rosacea
-Don't drink/smoke/wear much makeup (use mineral powder foundation to cover this up...or at least try to)

I attached a picture with an example of just a regular day, and it's a bit hard to see but better than no picture I suppose...

Hi, I'm not sure if you posted your comment in the right thread, just because I don't have any of the symptoms of Morgellons Disease (thankfully)..    : /

One other thing I wanted to say about Morgellons.

See Morgellons Research Foundation also.  They've listed all the news stations this
has been aired on, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS etc.

Then see CDC.  Center for Disease control and within CDC's site, type in the search:
Morgellons.

Well I'm not so sure it would be seborrheic dermatitis because they are not flaky or white/yellow...they are more like slightly raised red dots...I also don't have oily skin at all...I just have annoying polka dots everywhere around my nose and down to my chin!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but since your mother has rosacea, so it can be either rosacea or seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp. under the nose or anywhere on face. You can treat flaking and dryness with over-the-counter dandruff or medicated shampoos. Shampoo the hair vigorously and frequently (preferably daily). Active ingredients in these shampoos include salicylic acid, coal tar, zinc, resorcin, ketoconazole, or selenium.

If the symptoms persist, then it would be best to get it confirmed from a dermatologist
I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
