Temporary rash induced by heat

Hi Doctor,
I have started (in the last three years) having a temporary rash when my body gets heated.  Hot baths or excercise triggers the rash, but after a few hours it goes away.  It is blotchy and red, it is itchy, but the skin is not puffy.  It occurs in splotches around my torso and down my arms, not on my legs.
I first noticed it after the birth of my daughter, who was born by cessarean, but it has not gone away even after my body has readjusted to not being pregnant.
When I am not heating up my body, my skin is clear and there are no signs of rash.
Any ideas????
Shirl

HI I have the similar condition I have red blotches on my upper arms and top of my chest after I have a bath or shower - sometimes small heat bumps come up then after a short while they disappear - If I see a doc they will be gone before I see him - I moisturise it daily when I come out which soothes it but it itches like mad when I comeout of shower and this is the only pllace

Hi,

Please avoid hot baths and heavy exercises. This could be persistent cholinergic erythema but you will have to get yourself examined by a dermatologist to confirm diagnosis.

Hi,
It would be difficult to comment without a clinical evaluation. You need to consult a skin specialist and he/ she would be able to help you after a look at it. Goodluck.
