Tenderness After Wart Removed

by stymie, May 31, 2003 12:00AM
I had tail bone pain, doctor said I had a warts and interigo. I had the warts removed (burning) and the interigo appears to be gone, but the area is still tender when I sit very long or move in some directions and still tender to touch, this was about 3 months ago. The pain is much better but not gone. Could the scar tissue be tender or damage to the nerves, or maybe something else is going on.  Thanks

I doubt that wart removal left scar tissue, and besides, scar tissue doesn't hurt.  Perhaps you bruised the area in some other way.  If the discomfort persists, you'll have to have a dcotor take a look, but I wouldn't wprry about it--I'd wait a while longer to see if the pain doesn't just go away on its own.

Best.
