Thin skin

As a result of have a number of very strong Steriod injections about 20 years ago I now have very thin skin on my legs resulting in briusing and tearing at the slightest knock.  Has anoyone any idea of any way of thickening the skin.

I have thin skin too, but nothing as serious as that im 17 and hgave been taking my inhalers, which are a steroid, so i think this is the cause for me, well my mum who is a nurse also thinks that, i just hope it never gets as bad as that, i mean at the moment i can see al my arm viens when its extended

Hi

There is no over the counter medication which would cause skin thickening. At this point, you have to be very careful not to injure yourself. Wear pants or clothes that cover most of these affected areas. Apply moisturizers over the skin to keep it from drying and from being irritated. Wearing stocking and thick socks will also help.
