This is embarrassing, Scrotum swelling bump??

On this spot of scrotum skin, only this spot, became itchy on and off for 3 or 4 years. On most of time, I didn't bother to look down there and it goes away a week or two later. By touch it, felt like the skin is thick or a very mild bump.
This time, I found it is bigger and swelling and red. Same girlfriend for 10 years, it is embarrassing to show it to a stranger even is a doctor...but it looks scary, I have uploaded two photos of it, hope I can get some help here.

There is really no reason to be embarrassed for having a genital skin lesion and being concerned because of it.

Scrotal, oozing erosion, visible on pictures you posted, is probably caused by trauma such as scratching and is a secondary lesion. Most likely, primary lesion was folliculitis (inflamed hair follicle). Other diagnostic options are herpes simplex, candidiasis, lichen planus, psoriasis, etc.

At this point, swab of the eroded skin and of the surrounding  non-eroded skin for cultures could be very helpful diagnostic tools. While waiting for results, your physician will initiate topical antimicrobial/antifungal treatment.
