Tiny bumps in pubic hair

by mrb_123, Apr 30, 2008 01:58AM
I noticed that I have these tiny pink/flesh colored bumps in pubic hair area.  I have three bumps that are very close together but are not on top of each other, which are about the size of a pimple.  I also have two alittle smaller that are spread out in a different area of the pubic hair. They seem to appear larger after I take a shower and they get wet.  They don't itch or hurt.  I shave the pubic area. I had the same sex partner for 5 years and never had this problem. Just in the last 6 months, I have had a different sex partner but use protection.  I have had these bumps for three weeks and they don't seem to be going away.  I have been putting Neosporin on them but have not seem to help.  What can this be??

Hi,

This could be due to acne/imples/ or infection of the hair follicles called folliculitis or some bacterial infection/ fungal infction or some skin nodules etc.

Nothing can be said with surety without having a look at the lesions.

It would be best to reconsult your doctor about your symptoms if they do not resolve and get a proper clinical examination.

Keep the area clean and wear clothes washed in a few drops of chlorhexidine preferably and dried in the sun.

You could take oral antihistamine or antiallergic medications for the itching.

Let us know about what your doctor advises.

Regards.
