Tiny red bumps on penis shaft

by PTMarine, Jul 06, 2008 05:55PM
Two days ago after foreplay with my g/f i noticed tiny red 'bumps' on my penis shaft, in between the head and the base. The bumps are not raised off the skin at all, they look more like dots. It came after we were grinding with our clothes on, (we couldn't have sex because she was on her period) so I figure it's just an abrasion or irritation. The only concern I have is that I've been exposed to genital herpes, although I've never had an outbreak of any kind and don't think I have it. Her and I have been in a relationship with only each other for over two months. Any ideas as to what it could be? thanks!

Hi

How did you know that you have been exposed to herpetic infections? Did your girlfriend present with this?

I do not think this is herpes. Herpes is transmitted through direct skin to skin contact and they may manifest with blisters or vesicles that cluster together atop a red base. Not everyone exposed to the infection gets this. At this point, continue to observe the skin condition. I do not think this is something that requires immediate attention.

I got tested before I got with my girlfriend and the doc told me that I was exposed to genital herpes in the past. I was just worried that it was an outbreak, though I've never had one before. you don't think so? there's no pain or puss or anything, and I've read that the first outbreak usually occurs within 2-14 days after being infected. I don't even think I'm infected and like I said I've been with my parter for months and she's not infected at all.
