How did you know that you have been exposed to herpeticHerpetic stomatitis infections? Did your girlfriend present with this?
I do not think this is herpes. Herpes is transmitted through direct skin to skin contact and they may manifest with blisters or vesiclesVesicles that clusterCluster headaches together atop a red base. Not everyone exposed to the infection gets this. At this point, continue to observe the skin condition. I do not think this is something that requires immediate attention.
I got tested before I got with my girlfriend and the doc told me that I was exposed to genital herpes in the past. I was just worried that it was an outbreak, though I've never had one before. you don't think so? there's no pain or puss or anything, and I've read that the first outbreak usually occurs within 2-14 days after being infected. I don't even think I'm infected and like I said I've been with my parter for months and she's not infected at all.
