Toe Nailes

by Cinderfoot, Mar 19, 2003 12:00AM
My daughters toes nails have turned dark orange.  They've been this way for a couple of months now. Is this something I should be alarmed about?  What could the cause be?

Funny colors like orange on the nails usually mean color from the outside--like nail polish that's only partially removed.  Does that make sense in her case?

I think you should show this to a dermatologist, but fungus doesn't generally look orange, and I can't think of any diseases that color nails as you put it in your short description.

Best.
