Toenail fungus treatment

I went to a podiatrist about my big toe nail fungus. He recommened Vicks Vap-o-Rub. I tried it and it works. Cut your nail back as far as is comfortable then push as much of the Vicks under your nail as possible. Use a tiny brush if you need, just get as much as you can under the nail as deeply as possible.It should turn black where the fungus is. I started this treatment back in July of 2010, It is December and most of nail has grown out and is normal , and has reattached itself to the nail bed. Hope this helps someone who has this problem.
