Total body rash

The past two summers my fiance has had a rash break out on his knees, forearms, hands and back of his thighs. His trainer said it is heat rash, but it did not clear up this year like it did the year before. It began as a red, bumpy, localized rash, which looked like sore sometimes. He went to a dermatologist, who didn't know what it was, but  prescribed Trianicinolone, Mupirocin, and Minocyline. The rash cleared up for a few days and then overnight spread all over his body. This time it was red, bumpy, and very itchy, but it did not look like sores. He stopped taking the anti-biotic he was on and began taking Zyrtec and Prednisone. It has been almost a week and the rash is getting worse. He says he is experiencing severe itching, skin sensitivity - everywhere he touches becomes red and raised, and warmth where it is red (which is almost everywhere).

Any suggestions?

Hello,
It can be due to an allergy or hives. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rashes. If the symptoms persist then topical or oral steroids may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.
