Treatment post-accutane

Treatment post-accutane

Hi,

I'm a 120lb male, and I was on Accutane last year for 3 months (september - november 07) at 30mg/day. It cleared up my acne quite well. However, the entire time during my treatment all I could think was it wasn't long enough nor at a high enough dosage it seemed compared to anyone else who had taken Accutane.

I also had a chemical peel in September to help with minor hyper-pigmentation and scarring, I'm scheduled to have 4 more. They are light peels, Retinoic acid. Since May I've used topical acne treatments like Stieva-A, and in September I switched to using Tazorac (0.01%), as well as Dalacin-T sometimes in the mornings.

My acne has been slowly coming back, whiteheads here and there, but mostly large red cysts on my face that don't go away for 2-3 weeks. Should I ask my dermatologist for another course of Accutane maybe at longer and higher dosage, or just stick to using Tazorac and having chemical peels? My dermatologist said that peels do help with minor acne?

Just not sure what would be the best plan of action... getting rid of the acne totally is more important than scar treatment so that no new scarring is created.

Thanks.
