Treatment

My husband is in prison.  He has been diagnosed with basil cell carcinoma on his right ear (which cracks and bleeds frequently) and across his forehead.  The prison has been treating it with triple antibiotic ointment and cortisone cream. Is this a viable treatment?  Thank you.

No, cancer has to be removed.  Has he had a skin biopsy?  If he has, then the spots need to be removed surgically.  Maybe they just suspect a basal call and are trying to see whether ointment will clear it up over a couple of weeks.  If it doesn't, they can do a biopsy then.

Take care.
