Underarm oder with rash

My husband has a rash that stinks under his armpit. It comes and goes, We treated it with sporonox one time but his entire body broke out. He has not been able to use deoderant for years. I  spray lotrimin on it and  it gets better, but it always comes back. He is embarresed about the order under his arm what can we do.

Smelly rash under arms can be due to fungal infection of the skin. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. You can use topical antfungal creams like Lotrimin or Ketoconazole. If the symptoms persist then oral antifungals may be needed. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist in that case.

We have been using lotrimin spay and one under arm looks cleared up, the other got worse, but last night it looked like it might be getting better.  Also I discovered he had used some oldspice body wash he received in a gift set.  I have took that out and put dial saop in.  If it is not cleared up in a few more days then yes I will make him an appt. with Dr.  He's is just nervouse about haveing another reaction to the medicine they give him like he did the last time he went.
