Underarm red dots and scabing start after electrolysis
I have seen these posts about electrolysis side effects, however no-one has mentioned any effects in the underarms. I had my first treatment with electrolysis 3 days ago, and there are a lot of red dots, and some are starting to become brownish into possibly scabing. I realize it has only been 3 days, but other internet posts say these effects only usually last 3-5 days, and should not have these red dot any longer. I went back to the electrologist today to show her the underarm and asked her to use a lower setting. She said the underarm looks normal and that is in the process of healing, there is nothing wrong with it and should take some time to heal since the underarm is slower to heal due to constant rubbing from the clothes.
I am extremely worried that this will not go away, please help me with any ideas you may have from experience. Does underarm healing usually takes weeks?? I have used hydrocortisone cream, but I wonder if a cream with zinc oxide would help? I do not want to have to go through laser to get rid of electrolysis side-effects. Please help!!!
Hello,
Since the bumps are scabbing and it has only been 3 days that you had electrolysis, so it looks like that it is healing. It should get better in a few days and you can apply calamine or zinc oxide lotion.
