Hi,

This may be caused by infection of the skin glands or hair follicle, also known as folliculitis or another condition - lymph node inflammation. They may need examination and tests before a final diagnosis is made.

Folliculitis- This is caused by infection in the duct of the hair or the oil glands which causes swelling, redness, pain and pus discharge.

After that a course of antibiotics, oral and for local application may be prescribed.
Keep the area clean and hygienic.

Lymph node inflammation is caused by the development of swelling and inflammation in a lymph node which has been infected from bacteria from another site and therefore leads to these symptoms as the cells of the body fight it out. It may also need examination and then treatment with antibiotics.

let me know if you may need any more help.
