Uneven skin tone

For a few years now the skin on my stomach has been unevenly toned.  I have spots that are rather white compared to the rest of my stomach.  It's been like this since a few summers ago so I think it's because I burned on the beach and then it just hasn't gotten better.  It looks weird and I'm self-conscious about it about it so I'm wondering what I can do to fix it.

These spots can be due to pityriasis versicolor. It is a common skin infection caused by the yeast Malassezia furfur. This skin disease commonly affects adolescents and young adults, especially in warm and humid climates.

You should get it examined from a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.
