I also was badly burned on my arms from a laser. It left white dime size circles up and down my arms. i looked like I was attacked by an octopus! i was told not to go in the sun but after desperately trying everything else I decided to go to a tanning bed a see what would happen. It EVENED OUT!! Its been about 5 years now and you can still see some blotches on my one arm but its very faint. Forget all the expensive creams. TAN it!
Hello,
Hypo and hyperpigmentation are very common after laser treatment. Post inflammatory hypopigmentation is common after laser treatment. Post inflammatory hypopigmentation is very difficult to treat but sometimes it goes away on its own after exposure to the sun. Creams like Elidel cream or Protropic can be used on these hypopigmented areas but at such a young age it is not advisable to use them . If the symptoms still persist then you can talk to your dermatologist about laser-assisted chemabrasion(LACA).
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
