Thank you. Good info.
My 13 year old just showed me his feet, and I am sure this is his issue. He recently became enamored with some fancy socks, and it suspect he's wearing them more than once between launderings. Soaking his feet now in Epsom salts and will try the tea tree oil. It worked wonders on a funky toenail I had.
I'll report back....

There is a pomade type cream my mom used on me when I was little. I had the fish eye looking hole on the outer callus of my big toe. It wasnt painful at first. Just itchy and burning. Then after a while it started hurting. The pomade called Pomada Del Gallo was applied daily. Then it peeled off compleatle whole and painless. I had new skin underneath. They sell it at most mexican markets and pharmacies.
Did you figure out what this was? I have exactly what you described
ive had a painfull "object in the bottem of my foot and i thuoght at first it was a peice of glass, spinter, or something sharp in the ball of my foot and i tried to get it out with a needle, tweezers or what ever i could find to get the small object out but all it does when i do that is bleed it looks like my skin has grown around it and i dont know what it is its verry painfull and sometimes i cant walk on it any ideas?????i dont know it could be something embedded in it really far but it dosent seem to want to come out
NO clue what to do, I have tiny holes probably like 30 on each foot they dont hurt cant even tell they are there, but it still bothers me they are on my big toes and underneith my toes, I want to go to the doctor but dont want to pay a large doctor bill if I can take care of it at home, please if any one has an answer for me that would be great or if anyone knows what it is.

i have a bunch of holes they are just a little bigger than pin heads they have a little whitearound the edges.i think its called the palm of your foot the part just under your toes
I've had this exact thing two summers in a row now, and I think I've pinned down both the cause and the fix: First, I'm fairly certain that I must have an allergy to the rubber in the cheap flip-flops I buy every summer. Apparently it's worth it now to spend a little money on nice ones like Havaianas that last longer! Second: the fix is Tea Tree Oil! I do two things: after a bath or shower I put a few drops of full-strength oil on a cotton ball and smooth it all over the bottom of my feet. I also fill a small spray bottle with water and about a teaspoon of the oil, shake it well first, and spray it on a couple of times a day. The holes stop growing/spreading and after a few weeks they will be gone. I also use a pumice when I bathe. My feet look great now! Hope this helps---B
you have pitted keratoylsis. You need to see a contact dermatitis who specializates in this disease. You need to see a doctor so he can do an patch test on your skin. You are allergy to leather in the shoe, rubber in the shoe, or etc. You need to know the cause of the problem which is key to your problem. Your doctor will give you a prescription for erythromycin pledgets pad for 6wk to 8 wks or erthromycin 333mg 3 times a day for 10 days or clindamycin topical solution for 4 wks to 8 wks. Good luck you ll be fine in a month or two month. Do some research on this disease. Not a doctor but I know what you are going through
I have something that sounds like this and my mom said it was a fish eye but it's on my hand. Is this the same thing?

I believe i had this as a teenager. It got cut, and i believe I put antibacterial cream on it. It went away fairly quickly after that. It is back now, 8 or so years later, so i think it's best to try the antibacterial cream again with a band-aid over it. Just the plain kind like in a first aid kit. God willing I'll post the results soon. John 3:16 :-)
I have a whole in my foot it is at the bottom I have had it for 4 months. I picked it yesterday and it hurts whenI walk. I also went to the pool yesterday and it hurt alot. it is a perfect circle. Sometimes i can peel the skin. It started out like a blister. I had just taken a shower then I peeled a blister and it was there. In spanish it is called a hojo de pescado it means fish eye. It hurts to walk help me please!
This Bacteria... is this something you need to see a doctor for or is there over the counter stuff you can use?
It's called pitted keratolysis. Bacteria on the feet that responds well to topical antibiotics. Wash feet a lot and keep dry. May respond to washing feet with hydrogen peroxide. Usually causes bad foot odor.
sounds like a planters wart. ive been playing soccer for 15 years and i were high heel shoes and from all the presure on my foot i got one on the not heel the other hard part below your toes anyways u have to get it removed its not to pain full but u have to see a doctor to do it i had a small hole in the middle of a calus it didnt hurt or a couple months so i didnt worry about it then about 6-8 months later it was very pain ful the dr puts liquid nitrogen on it (freezes it)and cuts it out
I also have little holes about the size of a tear drop in the middle of the ball of my feet. It is on both feet in the same exact spot. I don't have any other symptoms either. Sometimes it does hurt and I can peel the skin off that is building up at the hole. I have had these for about 6 months. It does not seem to be spreading, but I would like to know what it is without a dr's visit as I do not have health insurance either.
