I've had weird, sporadic red bumps almost all over my body for the last 3 days. They're terribly itchy, and if I itch them they become inflamed and grow considerably in size within 5 minutes, and take several hours to shrink back again.
They started as a large cluster on the back of my right knee, but have since spread out (more scarcely) to both shins, both knees (front and back), elbows (front and back) along my arms, and distal shoulders. I've also got 1 on my hand close to my wrist, one on my stomach, and one on one finger. I've got no idea what these are, but as I said they itch intensely, are sporadic around my body, and are very annoying. I've included some pictures I took of some of the worst areas.
Benadryl (both oral and spray) does pretty much nothing, same with corticosteroid cream. I haven't tried any new foods/medicines/soaps/detergents etc recently, Though I was laying in grass and woods about 24 hours before bumps first started appearing.
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be hives, allergies, dermatitis or eczema. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. You can take some OTC oral antihistamine medications like Benadryl or Claritin and see if it helps.
Also a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone as dermacort), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Also use good quality moisturizers or emollients to prevent moisture loss from the skin.
If still the symptoms do not improve then pls get a clinical examination done by a dermatologist.I hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted o how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
