Unknown Skin Condition. Doctors Do Not Provide Answers

8798117?1359581660
We have been to dermatologists and to regular doctors no answers provided, this condition effects 5 family members who do not come in to contact with each other on a regular basis. Starts as small itchy red dots, progresses into this. Does not appear to be contagious pops up around wrists and ankles. Please help.

All affected are over the age of 40

Hi Margret and sorry about our concern. Has anyone dont a biopsy on this condition yet. They take a piece and send it for analysis.

Yes, it came back and had zero to no information with it. They thought it was fungal at first but no medication treated it in any of the affected individuals.

First clinical impression is Tinea incognito, caused by applying steroid creme on fungus. Becomes difficult to diagnose clinically or by biopsy.
Other differential diagnosis would be an itch mite reaction.
Best wishes.
