Untreated penile Yeast infection causing this?

In late December, I had a yeast infection on my genitals. At the same time/slightly before this I notice dry flaky skin at the corners of my mouth. I treated the penile infection with a 2% (I think) miconazole nitrate cream; Applying for the most part, twice a day.

Fast forward several months, I have what looks like sebhorreic dermatitis on my forehead (starting from above/in between my eyebrows), sides of my nose spreading downward around my mouth. and a patch on the back of my neck.

Now I seem to have to a penile yeast infection again and I am thinking that I didn't treat it properly and that the yeast infection manifesting in my body has cause the outbreaks on my face as well.

My question is, what should I use to treat the yeast infection and the skin patches on my face. I'm a 19 yr old male

Thanks for the reply;
I just saw a doctor and as I was explaining my scenario he abruptly told me that this was unrelated to a yeast infection. He then went on to take a look at my face and prescribe me some 1% hydro cortisone cream.
Was he right in ruling out yeast infections?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Are there other symptoms present? Yeast infection has a tendency to recur, even if treated previously.  On the other hand, seborrheic dermatitis is a disease that causes flaking of the skin and usually affects the scalp or the skin on other parts of the body, such as the face and chest, and the creases of the arms, legs and groin. The exact cause is not known,  but it may be caused  by a fungus which may be confirmed with skin scrapings from the site and evaluating it under the microscope. This may occur at different areas of the body as well. Seborrheic dermatitis of the scalp  is usually treated with a shampoo that contains salicylic acid,  zinc pyrithione  or selenium sulfide. If the shampoo alone doesn't help, prescription medication may be indicated.

I would recommend that you have this evaluated by your doctor for proper management and to rule out fungal infection. Take care and keep us posted.
