Upper Lip Shadow Problem

I have shaved my upper lip a few times before - the problem now is not so much the hair, as it is still
somewhat fine, but the green-ish shadow that is left on my upper lip. I'm pretty sure that shaving
is the root of the problem, but I wasn't sure if clogged pores could also be an issue.
Was wondering if there were any good natural cures, or if microdermabrasion would be effective?
*Electrolysis and Laser Hair Removal are not really options for me right now, although they seem
to be hair removal more so than shadow removal anyway.
