Vaginal

I recently discovered a bump around the opening of my vagina (near the bottom) it is painless and flesh colored w/ a smaller bump under that one in the fold of my vagina that is also flesh colored & painless.... I last had sex two weeks ago with my boyfriend and it is was kind of rough and i was sore after words, a day or so later I was really irritated & thought I had yeast infection because I often get those before my period. I used Monastat which really hurt me & burned so I washed it off but was still irritated..I then got my period and did not notice irritation as much. Today I noticed the bumps and am really freaked out- does anyone have an idea of what this can be? I've been doing research myself but nothing seems to fit exactly; they do not look like the pics of genital warts or herpes that I have seen... it almost seems closer to molluscum-contagiosum? But I really have no clue...  I have been sexually active with my boyfriend for 6 months & he is the only partner I have had in about a year and a half. We have always used a condom, except the when we had sex two weeks ago .....

Please offer any advice

Hello,
From your symptoms, it looks like a Bartholin's abscess or cyst. There are glands in the vaginal lips called Bartholin’s glands. These can become painful and swollen, and an abscess can form. This often causes blockage in the main duct from the gland, and a cyst develops. This is felt as a painless, hard swelling. In such cases, antibiotics may be helpful, or surgical treatment might be required.

Other possibilities are sebaceous cysts (accumulations of secretions that can occur anywhere on the skin or mucosal surfaces), lipomas (fatty deposits) , fibromas (fibrous tissue deposits) or viral warts(small raised pimples to a mass of large, cauliflower-like growths. The virus that causes them is passed on during sex).

An examination by a gynecologist will be the best as it is only after an examination that it will become clear what the swellings that you have noticed are due to. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
