Very Worried!!! Rash or ? warts/herpes/etc. on penis

Hello, please help!

I'm 28 yrs. old, and recently started a new relationship. We have had unprotected sex several times and I am concerned that I may have transmitted some sort of STD to her or her to me. My last relationship lasted for 3 1/2 years with no signs of the below symptoms. Sex with my new partner can be vigorous leavening a feeling of soreness on the penis, but what I

This certainly doesn't sound like an STD, any of those you list or any other one I can think of either.  I imagine it's related to friction from either sex or working out.

My advice is to apply 1% hydrocortisone (OTC) twice day, leave the area alone, and see a doctor as soon as you can.  Having someone qualified look at it is the only way you can take this off your agenda and get on with your life.

And yes, I think that your aches and pains are caused by anxiety.

Good luck.

You mentioned *Herpes* in your subject line and in your post.
The only way to find out if you have herpes is to be tested specifically for herpes. Herpes doesn't always have 'classic' signs or symptoms. Herpes testing is not part of the routine std testing process. Here's a very good article to read when you get the chance:

It's about how all too often genital herpes can go undetected

Take Care,

I have a similar problem.  I am 16 and I have never had sex before.  I have bumps on the underside of my penis that do not itch or anything, but I have not noticed them before.  I don't know what it might be, but they are little skin colored bumps that seem to be going all the way up from the base of my penis.  Is that the same problem?

I'm late reading your post and hope your problem has resolved by now. I do feel the need to stress to you that herpes can manifest itself as something as small as a single pimple or what looks like a cluster of pimples. There does not necessarily have to be running sores or major pain like most people think. Generalized aches are also common...like you described in your neck. I disagree with the advice you've been given and think you should be tested for genital herpes. The lack of insurance is not a problem as herpes is a community health concern and your local health department will test you for free!! What do you have to lose? I would recommend you get a Westcot Blot test done rather than just a generalized blood test which can often times be wrong. Unfortunately for people like me there are millions of people out in the world with herpes spreading it around because their symptoms are so mild they write it off as a "rash" and never get tested. Symptoms are also usually much milder in men. I think you owe being tested to yourself as well as any future sexual partners you might have. Herpes can be spread even when no symptoms of any kind are present.  Good luck.
