Very deep hole in palm

It started out as a red spot deep under my skin, far too deep to be a blood blister. It was slightly itchy and i could feel pressure so i put a pin into it. A few drops of blood came out no big deal. Then it ended up filling up again and as it grew closer to the surface became itchy. I scratched it a little bit the other night and it just broke. I figure i lost about 1/4 cup of blood from it. Now it is just a very deep hole in my hand filled with scab. My wife said it was probably a wart but there wasnt really a rough spot and it didnt stick out at all until it got near the surface and it was the pressure of the blood within it pushing my skin out.

forgot to note that it was never very painful. It is just slightly uncomfortable.
