Very irritating texture on my upper lip

I have been plucking my upper lip hair for about 8 years now and over the last 2 years my upper lip is always very dry and sensitive and peels. Its very embarrassing and noticable and its usually a shade darker than my skin and now my hair seems to grow alot more and much noticable under the skin, also the roots of the hairs like little black dots under my skin show all the time. My hair grows like everyday and its such a pain to take care of now. Would laser hair removal help? help im so embarrassed and never want to go anywhere now.

Hello,
It would be better if you get the microdermabrasion done from a cosmetologist/dermatologist as using it on its own can lead to irritant contact dermatitis. So a professional guidance will be better.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.

Thank you so much for you help. I appreciate it so much because this is a very embarrassing topic for me as in elemetary i was made fun of for this and it still haunts me. So if I apply this hydroqine cream and after it heals can i go out and purchase like a drug store microdermabrasion kit like you see on the shelves from say Olay or something? Think that would help? Thank you again I will have to try the cream.

Hello,

It can be that the hair that you have plucked is broken in between and hence is resulting in such texture of the skin. Apply hydroquinone cream on this scar and it should go away in a few days to months. If it still persists then you can go in for laser treatment, Chemical peeling or microdermabrasion. Avoid picking, harsh scrubbing, and abrasive treatments unless prescribed by a dermatologist during this period.

You will have to discuss these treatment options with a dermatologist/cosmetologist and decide which one is the best for you.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
