Very small sometimes red itchy bumps on skin

Very small sometimes red itchy bumps on skin

About three weeks ago I noticed a very small bump on the inside of my arm it itched, so I scratched it. The next day I had two similar bumps near my wrist, both very itchy but without puss or and usually without redness unless I scratch them. The bumps are near my inner thighs, where the butt meets the trunk of my legs, and near the seam line of my bra. They aren't in clusters, there's usually one to four at the most in a close proximity. I have since been itchy all the time and if I shower under hot water, the itching is out of  control and the area where the tiny bump is turns red. It seems to itch the most on my inner thigh and near the bottom of my butt. Every day I notice one or two in a new spot. There aren't a lot of bumps and they are pretty spread out but there area where the bump is located is incredibly itchy. I have ruled out bedbugs and scabies and MRSA. I thought maybe it was an allergic reaction but then this last week my roommate began to exhibit the same symptoms. We sleep in different rooms and don't share towels or anything like that (she is super OCD about cleanliness and is always cleaning). It's starting to affect my sleeping habits because I get so itchy at night....if anyone has any idea what this could be other than bedbugs, scabies, chiggers, no-seeums, MRSA, or eczema, your input would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
Going by your symptoms, the possibility of scabies is high.It is an infestation of the skin with the Sarcoptes scabiei mite and is highly contagious. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing
