Vitamin A or AHA

I am 27 years old, get occasional pimples and am concerned about aging.
I have been recommended to use a vitamin A cream (Cosmedix refine) and a cream with AHAs (Neostrata) by different sources.
Can someone please advise whether I should be using both, or one or the other?
