Vitiligo or idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis?

Vitiligo or idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis?

Good morning Doctor,

I noticed a couple of days ago that on my left leg, in the front area of the shin I have some white spots, they are kind of round/oval, just like three little ones and then in a spot there are like 5 together, small though. I just noticed them. As a background info, I came back one month ago from being in Thailand for 3 weeks. I'm latin so I got really tanned (and didn't use sunblock, never do). This is the only area in my body in which I have these spots so I was wondering if it can be the hypomelanosis? Also I checked pics of when I was in Thailand and I  only had one of these little spots (same size as of now). Hopefully it wont be vitiligo!

I'm sorry, I just uploaded two pics of the spot, one is on my thumbnail and the other one in my profile.
Also, I'm 27.

Thank you in advance!

Adding: right now they don't look too white, more like a pink color...

Hello,
It looks more like idiopathic guttate hypomelanosis rather than vitiligo. It is characterized by flat white spots found on the shins and forearms. It may also arise on other sun exposed areas including the face, neck and shoulders. Usually nothing is to be done except sun protection. Attempts to destroy the lesions may leave brown marks or larger white marks, which may look worse than the original condition. The other treatment options are cryotherapy, dermaabrasion, creams like tretinoin and topical steroids.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
