I'm wondering if the results (if any) that may be gained during UVB treatment of vitiligo are temporary?
Does the repigmented skin return to pre-treatment condition if the treatments are stopped?
Hello,
Research suggests that treatment with UVB light is particularly effective in vitiligo and the results are often permanent (studies have shown repigmentation in some people)but some people have shown few results. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
