WHAT IS THIS poss herpes?

The Facts: m to f unsafe sex. F std status  2 months ago neg. after i contacted her she went to her gp and got checked she has a bladder infection due to a yeast infection (she was on antibiotics) visual inspection for herpes neg. and she still has np. Symptoms: 6 days after sex noticed extreme sensitiveity in penis it started on r side of head but moved to the top of head. skin was rough, w vertical lines almost fissures when stretched. Went to std clinic (2days after) got tested all neg, visual inspec w magnif on penis head neg, went back to clinic in 6 days and got inspect. again was told it was nothing but w magnyfing glass and some imagine poss. yeast infect. I req. an appt with a dermat. Extreme sensitivity lasted 9 days then faded it is now day 15 no change in skin but still sensitive to the touch.
Treatment:chlortizmole intermittent use first 6 days then regular use polysporin and chlortizmole mixed and covered penis so it wouldn't rub. F has since agreed to go get a hsv 2 specific blood test. Things did not feel right after i had sex with her i dunno if it was mental or if it was real but i was worried about it. No other symptoms but very concerned is this herpes

Freaked out I hope that this post finds you doing better. I can tell from your posts that you are indeed "Freaked Out".

I know it is scary for you, but almost certainly your sensations were caused by anxiety.

I myself have had anxiety thinking something might be wrong with my penis and of course had sensations etc that just fueled the fire.

When I calmed down and let it go all of the sensations etc went away.

You mentioned your doc said it might be herpes zoster. I was just diagnosed yesterday with this (Shingles). I have it on my face.

This only occurs one one side of the body.

It is caused by the chicken pox virus not by herpes 1 or 2.  It can be brought on by stress. After six months of continuous stress this is what has happened to me.

I started with red bumps that then blistered and then turned into a crusty ozzing mess.

I called a person that I know at an HIV/STD hotline and asked them if the blisters and sores from shingles are similar to the ones you would get on your genitals with genital herpes and they said YES.

Well I KNOW I have never had this in my genital region before. The prodrome was four days before my blisters appeared on my face.

During that time I had the worst pain ever. On the side of my nose it felt like a zit the size of grapefruit had to be there. I would go and look in the mirror and nothing would be there.

Everywhere I had severe pain I got blisters.  Now my point to you and to others, and I have read Dr. Rockoff write the same thing, sensitivity in the ABSENCE of blisters or sores mean nothing.

Now that I have this and have been told by Dr's that genital outbreaks of herpes 1 and 2 would feel the same way you can't miss it.

Sorry but i am just curious the dermatologist also said that maybe it was a nerve  crossed caused by somthing pushing on my prostate (but what about the skin) or after my prodding he said if it was herpes he would think herpes zoster but i thought herpes zoster was only on the body not genitals? his attitude kinda bothered me too it was kinda like everyone has it so don't worry about it only worry if you are showing symptoms wich only happens in samll % of people with it maybe he was trying to calm my fears but it didn't work. I would like to know for sure if i have it and don't want to wait 3 mos to find out is the a faster test i don't care how much the test would cost i just need to know. I went to the dermatologist he looked at my penis with a magnifing glass. He didn't see anything out of the ordinary i even stretched the skin and  still nothing out of the ordinary even though i can tell the skin there is not normal in fact there are super tiny skin colored bumps (only visible when the skin is really streched out the bumps feel dry and a little rough but like i said super small so small that the skin needs to be completly stretched out. I forgot to mention that when the super sensitive sensation stared i had what felt like the start of a head cold (sinus pressure) after the sensation started i became really stressed out and felt not good at all (no appetite, got cold easily, lack of sleep) poss. just from the stress? no fever (i kept checking) also i was able to feel lymph nodes in my groin area (after the checkup) not painful and no bigger than 1/2 an inch or smaller also pain but once in a while a feeling from the area cant narrow it down to the lymph nodes though. no burning, no itching, no lesions or blisters, no painful urination or burning when urinating but i pulled open my uretha as hard as i could and it looked mostly okay except it got reddish purple in the very centre. What do you think

Another symptom or maybe not a symptom was my scrotum was a little more red hot and sweaty than usual than it seemed (i shaved my pubic hair with electric beard trimers to check for sores lesion or blisters none found)it has also returned to normal. The girl in question seems to have had a yeast infection during our encounter because when she had a physical exam by her doctor for herpes after my call she found out she had a bladder infecton due to a untreated yeast infection (she was on oral antibiotics) could my situation be related? The sensitivity is rapidly fading and there is much less discomfort to the touch it is the 16th day of sensitivity but it is 23 days since poss. exp.

So sorry to keep pestering you with my problems but the only other symptom wich might not be a symptom is my scrotum was really red and warm/sweaty almost at times (i shaved my pubic hair off with electric beard trimmer to check for sores or blisters none)the girl i slept with has gotten a bladder  infection (she found out when she had visual inspection done by her gp) due to a yeast infection that went untreated (she was on oral antibiotics from her dentist) could my situation be related to hers? My penis is still a little more sensitive but it seems to be passing quickly now it isn't nearly as bad as it was.

Given the absence of visible signs, I think the sensitivity indeed is mental, as you put it.  The symptoms  and course of events don't suggest herpes at all, or for that matter any STD.  I would suggest using no active medications at all, just bland lubricants for any leftover sensitivity.
