Silent thyroiditis infiltrates. The junctional melanocytic component is characterized by mild cytologic and architectural atypia and extends laterally away from the more central dermal component. Nest of superficial dermal nevomelanocytes are present.
-1 of these - Sections through this tangetial specimen show a relatively small, but poorly circumscribed lentiginous junctional melanocytic proliferation. There is focal nesting with mlanocytes predominantly arranged as single cells extending in a somewhat crowded manner along the dermal-epidermal junction. Assoctiated lentiginous epidermal hyperplasia is present. there is patchy lymphocytic inflammation present in a perivascular distribution. The melanocytic proliferation approaches, but does not technically appear to involve the sampled microscopic edges.
One of the mild-moderates had positive edges on the biopsy so she went back in and cut out a lot more, big scar, and it came back clean. Just wondering what you think, my dermatologist isn't too worried about anything and just wants to see me every six months unless i notice any changes. thanks for your opinion. Im a 25yr old male if that matters.
